WATCH: Anderson Cooper Debuts New Specs While High On Valium

Back in May, Anderson Cooper debuted two new sets of specs while guest-hosting “Live! with Regis and Kelly.” For her part, Ripa promptly them both “just wrong” and nothing was ever said about it again. Until last night, when Cooper unveiled yet another pair to Kathy Griffin in anticipation of their New Year’s Eve co-hosting plans. It didn’t go much better the second time around.Griffin accused him of choosing the “nerdiest glasses [he] could” in order to take his hotness “down a notch,” described them as “shame-filled” and for “indoors” only, before telling him to “photoshop them out.”
That said, the best part of the whole totally goofy interview is when Cooper admits he’s feeling a little “loopy” as a result of the two Valium he’d taken after throwing his back out. Brave!
On a final note, if you ask us, those glasses don’t look any different than the pair Ripa so vehemently criticized and, moreover, we think they look great. What say you?
