Anderson Cooper, Kelly Ripa grand marshals for Endymion

NEW ORLEANS -- Anderson Cooper, Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos, Pat Benatar and the rock band Train are expected to ride in this year’s Endymion parade as grand marshals.
Veternan CNN journalist Anderson Cooper will be joined by "Live! with Regis and Kelly" host Kelly Ripa, whose show is a favorite on WWL-TV. Ripa's husband, actor Mark Consuelos, will ride in the parade as well, krewe officials announced. Also joining Ripa, Cooper and Consuelos will be rocker Pat Benatar and local musician Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews, a Grammy nominee this year.
Endymion founder and captain, Ed Muniz announced that the parade will roll to the Ernest M. Morial Convention Center on Mar. 5, due to Superdome renovations.
Before the parade rolls on its traditional Mid-City route, the Mixed Nuts will perform on stage near City Park at noon, followed by the Topcats at 1 p.m., then Trombone Shorty at 2 p.m., followed by the Bucktown All-Stars at 3:15 p.m. for Samedi Gras.
The parade is scheduled to roll at 4:30 p.m.
