Jesus does it really fucking matter? I mean hell once Lake Highlands ran off 21 runs in the fifth inning, do you blame the scorekeeper for losing interest? He's human. He probably couldn't stop laughing. I don't know what's worse: getting beat 57-0, not recording a single hit, giving up 44 hits in just 68 plate appearances, or allowing a fucking kid named Mike Ketchmark to go 8-for-9 with a double and 11 RBI's. It gets worse. Evidently, Lake Highlands put up 57 runs without hitting a single home run or stealing any bases. Lake Highland's baseball coach Jay Higgins also ordered his kids to only run one base no matter how far the ball was hit. The game was called by the mercy rule after five innings.
I know this is high school and the most important thing is to "have fun" but good god. What exactly are these Samuell kids trying to prove here? If you suck at baseball don't try out for the fucking baseball team. Why? Because you'll get your ass beat by 50+ runs and be a punch line for the rest of your life. I'm fat, lazy, slow and love smoking cigarettes. You don't see me trying out for the 400m hurdles do you?
Samuell coach Mike Pena said he was proud that all 17 players showed up for practice the next day. Jesus, I guess he's a glass half full kind of guy.
The two teams play again April 8th. Where you gonna be?
