Andrew Card: "Apples (Ryan's plan) and oranges (Obama's plan)." How convenient? When it is for the benefit of the republicans apples and oranges are fruits and vegetables, I guess. The reality is that both, Obama and Ryan, are proposing a plan to get the budget on balance (period). Therefore the "apples/oranges" metaphor does NOT apply. Where it DOES apply is in the fact that republican Ryan's plan cuts taxes for the rich and removes services for the poor, the elderly and women's rights; Obama's doesn't. But that's something the republicans always loose in the rhetoric and the stupid democrats do not confront, as in this discussion, the republicans at ALL! Why?! It baffles me.
