Mike Huckabee has launched a bizarre time-travel themed website intended to teach school kids about real American history.
Many of our schools and teachers today haven't found ways to make history for kids fun. Instead, they’re teaching with political bias that distorts facts for the sake of political correctness. As a result, our national pride and patriotism are in jeopardy. That's what makes Learn Our History different. Your kids will love to learn American history as they watch our nation's stories come to life right before their eyes! All the while, they’ll build a strong sense of national pride and appreciation for America. Here's the site's twisted take on the "Reagan Revolution."

NYFD ladder trucks arrived in Times Square around 12:30am to the wild cheers of the ever-growing crowds. I tried to get down there myself to witness some history, but at this writing there's about 200 people frantically waving for cabs along my block on the Upper East Side.
NOTE: The above photos have been retweeted so many thousands of times tonight that attribution, for now, is impossible.

Newsweek gave a thousand Americans the same citizenship test given to immigrants and 38% failed. USA! USA!
They’re the sort of scores that drive high-school history teachers to drink. When NEWSWEEK recently asked 1,000 U.S. citizens to take America’s official citizenship test, 29 percent couldn’t name the vice president. Seventy-three percent couldn’t correctly say why we fought the Cold War. Forty-four percent were unable to define the Bill of Rights. And 6 percent couldn’t even circle Independence Day on a calendar. You can answer ten sample questions from the test here. Or maybe you can't.

Yesterday I was surprised by how much I enjoyed watching the Medal Of Freedom ceremony at the White House, where the honorees included Maya Angelou, Bill Russell, Yo-Yo Ma, Warren Buffet, Jasper Johns, and Bush 41, who appeared startlingly frail and had to be helped to his seat by a sturdy Marine.
