Rev. Mario Bergner also says that Jeebus cured his AIDS: "At twenty-three I was hospitalized with eleven symptoms of AIDS. From my bed, I questioned the Lord about homosexuality and Christianity. Jesus appeared saying, 'I want to heal your whole person, not just your sexuality. Choose.' Not understanding what 'choose' meant I just chose him. I recovered and years later tested HIV negative."

Yesterday Fox News used the above photo of Tina Fey to illustrate a story about this year's major GOP presidential contenders. Whoopsie.

Andrew Sullivan notes that supporters of Sarah Palin are trying to edit Paul Revere's Wikipedia page so that her gaffe appears to be historical fact. A Wikipedia editor says:
In the article on Paul Revere, someone has added false information in an effort to support Sarah Palin's FALSE claims about Paul Revere. "Accounts differ regarding the method of alerting the colonists; the generally accepted position is that the warnings were verbal in nature, although one disputed account suggested that Revere rang bells during his ride.[8][9]" This must be removed as it is a LIE designed to mislead.

According to a former managing editor at Fox News, chairman Roger Ailes installed bullet-proof glass on his midtown Manhattan office windows because he feared assassination by gay activists. "They'll be down there protesting. Those gays!" Ailes reportedly said. Hit the link to read Rolling Stone's lengthy expose on Ailes and Fox.

From the Desiring God site of Pastor John Piper:
Except in a sentence like this one, I don’t think we should use the term “gay marriage” or “same-sex marriage.” I think in our everyday discourse, we should say “so-called gay marriage” or “so-called same sex marriage.” I would encourage politicians, pastors, and people to adopt this simple habit. The reason is that in God’s eyes, there simply is no such thing as so-called “gay marriage.” It does not exist. It cannot be made to exist by desires or decisions or language or laws. God ordained marriage with the words: “A man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh” (Genesis 2:24). Marriage is the union of a man and a woman in a lifelong covenant as husband and wife.Going by Piper's logic, Newt Gingrich is on his third "so-called marriage."

World Net Daily is upping the birther ante, now claiming that presidential candidates must have been born to U.S. citizens in order to be eligible. And that lets out two major GOP figures.
Are U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal natural-born citizens of the United States, and thus eligible for the presidency? It's a simple question, but the answer may not be so easy. While the Constitution does not define "natural-born citizen," there is strong evidence that the Founding Fathers understood it to mean someone born of two American citizens. The next national election is less than 18 months away, and both rising Republican stars have been touted as potential contenders for either the No. 1 or No. 2 spot on a presidential ticket. But their eligibility is in doubt since both men's parents were not U.S. citizens at the time their future political children were born, WND can reveal. That factor is important because the Constitution mandates a presidential candidate to be a "natural-born citizen," a requirement that has dogged President Barack Obama since the 2008 campaign. And what do Jindal and Rubio and Obama all have in common? Bingo.

And they've launched a campaign calling on advertisers to pull out.
There is more than one homosexual character in this program. One of the high school students is openly gay and in a relationship with another male at another school. There is a question of another male being gay, but the character is unsure while a female student is a lesbian and knows it but doesn't want everyone else to know yet. Several scenes seem to glorify this lifestyle decision and the topic of a new club being started for parents, family and friends of gays is in one crucial scene. Tolerance is one thing, but acceptance or affirmation is another. Please send Burger King, Boost Mobile, Subway and Taco Bell an email letter asking them to pull their support from GLEE and no longer sponsor this program through advertising.

"Osama’s body should have not been immediately buried. We should have told everyone that the body was wrapped in pig fat before burial. Why? It is not just the visceral insult. It is sending a message. Contrary to what the politically correct say, Osama does represent the mainstream of Islam. By defiling the body, we say that you are not getting your 72 virgins. This should be the policy we have with every Islamic terrorist we capture. If you die, we are going to deny you paradise. If we capture you, we are going to feed you nothing but pork until you talk." - Tea Party Nation founder Judson Phillips, who says the president only killed Bin Laden to help his reelection.

Not to be outdone by Utah, who last month became the first state with an official gun, yesterday the GOP-dominated Arizona House voted to make the Colt revolver the state's official murder weapon. Talking Points Memo reports:
The Arizona House early Wednesday narrowly approved the Colt Single Action Army Revolver as the state's official gun. The bill had been rejected earlier in an all-night session, the AP reports, but it eventually won approval by a 32-25 vote. "Anytime you see a Western movie, the revolver in John Wayne's hand is a Colt single action," Arizona state Sen. Ron Gould (R) told Reuters. "This is a historic firearm and it fits well with the story of Arizona." But state Sen. Albert Hale (D) -- former president of the Navajo Nation -- said "the gun symbolized the extinction, the extermination of those Indians who were here."

According to the deep thinkers at Phyllis Schlafly's Eagle Forum, Arizona State's new school logo is promoting communism.
The Sun Devils of ASU are gearing up for this year’s football season with redesigned uniforms and logos. The school is promoting this greatly anticipated change with several YouTube videos. Several of these videos end with an image of a clenched fist. After a second or two, the fist lifts three fingers, turning into the Sun Devil’s “pitchfork” hand-symbol. The raised fist is a symbol of socialism, communism, and other extreme left-wing organizations, according to Wikipedia, It was first used as the emblem of the Red Front Fighter’s League of the Communist Party of Germany in 1932 and has since been used by groups such as the Black Panther Party and the Socialist Workers Party of the UK. Why would ASU choose to put a symbol representing left-wing organizations at the end of a video promoting its football team? Will this symbol be used to express the Sun Devil's team spirit or will it continue to communicate its traditional leftist message on the ASU campus?

"The male sex is growing and women are getting eliminated. The days are not far when there will be no girls to marry and we’ll all become gays. We never told people the truth, sometimes truth is bitter, we may not win elections but time has come when we must tell people, what is right. And the truth is the population is growing at a much faster rate and unfortunately male sex is growing faster and women are being eliminated, I don’t know whether the time will come. We will all become gays, that might happen." - Indian Energy Minister Farooq Abdullah, reacting to new census figures showing a growing disparity between male and female births.
NOTE: Abdullah makes no mention of India's historic problem with rampant female infanticide and sex-selective abortion.

Britain's Daily Mail tabloid reports that the latest conspiracy theory sweeping wingnut blogs is that the president has had secret brain surgery.
In pictures, Obama appears to have a long scar which goes up the side of his head and over his crown. Some conspiracy theorists claim they are scars that you would see on someone who has had brain surgery. But without medical records (along with his school records and birth certificate) no one seems to be able to provide an answer as to the cause of the mystery scars. Ben Hart, a blogger for Escape The Tyranny, a website which presents itself as a Social Network & Forum For Conservatives, said: "Obama's almost done with his first term, and we still know almost nothing about the background of the President of the United States. Whatever happened to create that scar, it was clearly something serious. Was it a brain operation? Has it affected his thinking? No one is allowed to see his birth certificate. He is just one big mystery man, which adds intrigue to what that huge scar is all about."According to the above-quoted wingnut blog, it's that brain surgery that resulted in the president's unique manner of speaking.
