INDIANA - Yet another female teacher has been caught allegedly having sex with an under age student.
Married Erin Baynard Stewart, 30, was yesterday fired from her social studies teaching job at Chauncey Rose Middle School, in Terre Haute, Indiana, after being accused of having relations with a 14-year-old boy. Stewart, who had worked at the school for six years, allegedly had four sexual encounters with the boy. She had oral sex with the student in her classroom in December 2009, while other encounters took place in Stewart's home, according to court documents. The now 15-year-old, who can not be named for legal reasons, was able to describe and draw sketches of the interior of the teacher's home, Terre Haute Police Detective, Rick Decker, said. Vigo County School Superintendent Danny Tanoos called the charges 'disappointing' 'heart-breaking' and 'tragic' at a recent news conference. 'It breaks the trust, that bond that we have and that code of ethics that we have as educators. And so once that’s broken, it’s hard to sometimes regain that trust,' he added. Stewart has pleaded not guilty to two counts of sexual misconduct with a minor. She is currently out on $75,000 bond stumped up by her parents. Her trial will start in October. Yesterday's official termination of Stewart's contract is a formality. She had already given up her teaching licence and had not been paid since.

WOODTV - A 32-year-old teacher's aide is accused of sexually assaulting a middle-school student from the same district where she worked in Calhoun County. U.S. marshals on June 3 arrested April Patzkowsky in Brownsville, Texas, where she had been living with relatives for the past eight months. She was arrested on an outstanding warrant for four sexual assault charges, and is now awaiting extradition procedures. The male student attends W.K. Kellogg Middle School -- the same building where 32-year-old Patzkowsky worked as a bilingual aid, according to her husband, Mike Patzkowsky. April was employed at the school for about five years to help students with their English skills. Emmett Township Public Safety began the investigation after receiving a complaint report. Police said the abuse occurred off school grounds, and Mike Patzkowsky told 24 Hour News 8 that it happened last summer. April was placed on administrative leave shortly after the investigation began last September, Mike said. April was aware of the situation and kept police informed of her whereabouts, Mike added. She faces life in prison, if convicted...

Life in prison?  For makin' some little horndog's dream come true?  Call me sexist, but these female-teacher-sex-with-boys stories always seem a little less harmful than when the man is the pedophile.  I'm bettin' the dude could have said no and that would've been the end of it.  Fact is, he'll probably jerk off for the rest of his life while re-living the experience.  Some parent probably caught wind of junior braggin' about the whole thing and turned her ass in.  April just taught one of her students to be a cunning linguist.  Life in prison?  Are you kiddin' me?

MUSKOGEEPHOENIX.COM - McIntosh County authorities arrested a Checotah elementary school teacher Tuesday for allegedly having sex with a 16-year-old boy. Michelle McCutchan, 38, was charged with two counts of second-degree rape and one count of sodomy. The alleged acts occurred between Dec. 1 and May 11. Documents filed Tuesday with the McIntosh County Court Clerk’s Office allege McCutchan had sex with the boy on four occasions at her home and at least one time at the boy’s home in Oktaha. Prosecutors allege five instances of oral sodomy. McCutchan could not be reached for comment. A telephone number listed under her name has been disconnected. McIntosh County Sheriff’s Investigator Tonya French said McCutchan admitted having sex with the boy, who is a high school sophomore. “McCutchan said she had sent many nude photos of herself to (the boy’s) phone,” French stated in an affidavit supporting her request for an arrest warrant. “McCutchan stated two times while having sex with (him) ... a video was made of the sexual acts.” According to court documents, McCutchan could face up to 10 years in prison for the sodomy charge and from one to 15 years on the second-degree rape charges. McCutchan, who was suspended May 10 from her duties teaching fifth grade, was released after posting a $5,000 bond. Information regarding her next court appearance was unavailable Tuesday night. Checotah Public Schools Superintendent Mark Calavan said McCutchan was suspended with pay pending a termination hearing, which is scheduled June 2.

FLORIDA - When Bartow police pulled over 33-year-old Bradley Gummow, an 11th and 12th grade teacher at Bartow High School, for a traffic stop late Tuesday morning, they say they saw a plastic bag in his mouth, reports WTSP News-10 in Tampa Bay. But Gummow wasn't talking. So they used a surefire method to get him to open his mouth: They tased him. Out of his mouth pooped five bags of pot. Small wonder he couldn't talk.

MAIL ONLINE - A teacher has been arrested for stripping off and parading naked around an elementary school after he was told he was being laid off. Harlon Porter was reportedly upset about losing his job at Haynie Elementary School in Morrow, Georgia. Fortunately, the children had been released for the day before Porter started his alleged impromptu strip show. School staff called police after the teacher allegedly started strolling the halls in his birthday suit. Officers say they found the 31-year-old sitting nude in a chair in the teacher’s lounge. He was later released on $2,000 bond after being charged with public indecency. If the children had still been at the school, he would have faced the more serious charge of child molestation. After being arrested, Porter claimed he had ‘reached a new level of enlightenment’ and ‘he wanted everybody to be free now that his third eye was open'. The teacher may not have allegedly been wearing any clothes, but he was carrying several books on spirituality and transcendental meditation, according to CBS. He was reportedly told his employment contract wouldn’t be renewed two days before the incident occurred a week ago. It’s a sure bet that Porter won’t be invited back into the Georgia school system, but he claimed to have loftier teaching ambitions. He told police he wanted to teach on a new level ‘with hands in the earth, gathering the essence and learning how to love one another and fully appreciate the spiritual realm.’ Teachers at the school said Porter was a teetotal vegan. ‘However on the date in question they noticed that he was drinking a coke and had gone to taco bell to get tacos for lunch,’ the police report said. A YouTube video emerged today of Porter's rambling and incomprehensible one man show he called 'Scenes From the Evolution U.' According to Khari Reed, the arresting officer, Porter was diagnosed seven years ago with schizophrenia.

RGJ.COM - A 34-year-old Reed High School special education teacher remained jailed Monday on charges she had sex with two 17-year-old students, in acts that allegedly occurred in her personal vehicle. Friday’s arrest of teacher Bethyl “Beth” Shepherd was the second recent sexual misconduct-related arrest of a special education Reed High School employee. Last month, Reed special education teacher’s aide Marie L. Fisher was arrested on felony charges related to having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old student with whom she also allegedly sent graphic text message photos, according to court documents. An arraignment date has not yet been scheduled in the case. Shepherd, who has been on administrative leave since school police received information on the incident, faces felony counts of sexual conduct between a school employee and a pupil. Bail was set at $4,000. According to a probable cause affidavit filed in Sparks Justice Court, school police detectives learned through an unidentified source that Shepherd, employed with the district since August 2001, allegedly was involved in a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student on April 7. Investigators accused her in the court filing of having sex with two 17-year-olds in her personal vehicle, away from school grounds. She told investigators that one student forced her to engage in sexual activities while she denied any contact with the other. Washoe County schools police Chief Mike Mieras said, “Well, there are two sides to a story,” but after interviews with other sources, he added, enough information had been gathered to suggest probable cause. “What her allegations are at this time are not quite matching up to the accounts of what was reported to us,” Mieras said. It was not immediately known Monday afternoon if Shepherd had hired an attorney. A contact phone number Shepherd gave officers went unanswered and did not allow voice mail. Mieras said school district area superintendent Lynn Rauh, who oversees Reed, is going to meet with Principal Mary Vesco and do some training with the staff on appropriate behavior and personal relationships with students...

I gotta admit, the "Special Needs" part of this story threw me completely for a loop. Usually when 17-year-olds have sex with their teachers I'm just jealous. But this is a little different.
